A basic tutorial on how to do Star Wars blaster effects in Particle Illusion SE.

Note: Instructions may change in Particle Illusion 3.0.

Video FAQs-

Q: Where can I get Particle Illusion 3.0 or SE?
A: At wondertouch.com

Q: Is Particle Illusion free?
A: No, SE is $100 and 3.0 is $300. However, you can download a 30 day trial of either of them on wondertouch.com.

Q: Will this work for 3.0 also?
A: For the most part, yes. Some things might be slightly different, but it shouldn't be that hard to figure out.

Q: How do you put the effect into your video?
A: You have to first import your film footage into Particle Illusion and then insert it there.

  • particale illusion se won't accept videos i did on my webcam, but all the other videos with cameras imported easy, how do i get the webcam to work with my particale illusion se?

    Please reply!!

  • @CrazyLegoKid123 Well, it might be that the format of the videos you are importing are incorrect for PI... the program is very "sensitive" for video formats.

  • Do you haft to do that every time if your doing a stop motion film

  • @mysterylegobrick Do what?

  • What do you do when you want it to hit someone or something? How do you make the sparks kind of spray off what it hit? And how do you make the laser disappear after it hits it?

  • @LEGOSTARWARSANDPIE Actually, I never figured that out. I've stopped using Particle Illusion and I am in the process of switching to FXhome EffectsLab
