Wow, you replied to my comment a year after it was posted. I already know how to do all of the shit on Sony Vegas.

If I ONLY had a GUN... Couldn't they have made it just a tinny bit more COMPLICATED? GEEZ! I'm TRYING to use Adobe After Effects to edit video from two different cameras: one is tape and the other one is digital. Well, needless to say, I got a headache the size of (insert large State of your choice here). One image is fine but the other one is too fat. OR VICEVERSA! I will save your vid in my favs as I think it does the best job explaining the "compensation" issue. THANKS!

Great video, helpful too.
However despite filming using a standard definition DV 16:9 PAL camera then editing and saving the final movie (all in 16:9 PAL using windows movie maker 2) You Tube is still distorting the image when I upload it.
What ''save movie as'' option do I need to use on Movie Maker that A) keep high quality and B) Prevents image stretching on uploaded videos? I don't want to use their tags either because I think the quality drops badly.

@Jebrone How long do you work with video, man? You can call me as you please, but don't disorient people.

There are some idiots out there that dont understand, you should show some pictures of how it would look if it had the same pixel by pixel ratio but different Pixel Aspect Ratio, and how certain pixel by pixels are used to compensate for the lack or extended features on PAL and such
-
@Petersson554 Your an idiot, wikipedia is never a reliable sorce! Plus you didn't understand any thing he said!
-
Total bullshit!!!!
Go to wikipedia for pixel aspect ratio.
Wide screen has the same number of pixels as standart screen.
-
Total bullshit!!!!
1) DV (Digital Video) and SD (Standart Definition) are from different categories. They are can't be compared.
2) 16:9 (Wide) frame in PAL (720x576) or NTSC(720x480) standart has the same number of pixels as 4:3 PAL (720x576)and NTSC (720x480). Difference exactly in Pixel Aspect Ratio "PAR".
Can anyone tell me what is the "pixel aspect ratio" I should insert in Sony Vegas?
In other words, i wanna resize a video for HD playback in youtube, how do i do this in sony vegas?
