  • Thank you so much! My system was at 0 bar and the winter was coming. I dont have enough money to call out a professional. Attaching the flexi house to the other pipe and letting water in fixed my pressure to a little above 1!

    Thank you!

  • That you can top up your system your self and old systems can drop pressure over time and solong as you do not do it too much than to top up you heating system is safe and fine it's not something you need to get a plumber out for and can safe you money that you would pay a plumbers call always tell your service engineer that services your boiler the amount of times you have topped the system up so he can judge if you require more inhibetor

  • Yes it's true that you should not keep roping up violets it can cause a problem but it's fare to say

  • why are u giving people a false sense of security You should have NO need to keep toppin up a pressurised heating system there is a LEAK on the system somewher and by keep adding fresh water you will corrode rads causing oxygen bursts and also destroy GB pipework also if you do insist on topping your system up often and something does go wrong your insurance company will not pay out so BE WARNED GET A PROPER PLUMBER INSTEAD OF COWBOYS
