@Edge1Init They split because Charlie only joined at 16 to get out of school, (I don't think he even liked pop) then after 5 years he formed Fightstar & couldn't handle both bands first chance he got he went outie & has no intention of rejoining Busted ever again whereas Mat & James would wake up any day leaving everything to rejoin Busted said so themselves!!!

@KayleighStewart2011 Actually, it was James who got Busted together in the first place. Him, then Matt. Then they held auditions and Charlie came and Tom from Mcfly were all going to be in Busted (they were gonna be a four member band) but then they decided on a threesome band which is how Mcfly got together :3

They were going to get back together but charlie owns the right because hes the one that got them together and he didnt want to get back together and wouldnt sell them the right's so atm there not getting back together unfortuntly...<3<3

i think it was because charlie said he wanted to do music he liked or something like that and he left to form fightstar unless there's another reason, i only know of that one.

@tempa93 (Ignore the fact you posted that comment a year ago) Charlie did leave for Fightstar but they had already formed. Before Busted i think. Busted were just the ones that made the spotlight because that was what was more popular at the time. They'd made a pact that if one left they would just liquidate the band and so Charlie left to carry on Fightstar. Matt took on a failed solo career and now he's just a T.V personality and James joined Son of Dork. No idea if he's still there though.

@ninjawest12 i heard james is in a new band but i might hav mixed that info up with someone else as it was a while back when i heard that too
