This a guide to get around that annoying 'restarting' issue that occurs when deleting the Battle Music folder.

This video will show you how to activate the bug that allows you to have music playing without it being interrupted by every single enemy you meet in a dungeon.

Now you can finally listen to an *gasp* entire track for once in your entire oblivion experience.

I've written this bug up over at TESNexus.com: http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=10876

Other mods to be seen:
-DMC Stylish Animation Replacer (I only used the 2Handed files)
-DarNified UI
-Classic Sword Replacers
-Well Used Map
-The Glory of Cyrodiil (the video on My Main Menu)
-Amazing Jump

Custom Music from:
Generic Dungeon Drones: http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=1879 (Note: You DO NOT need to replace music to have it work. Simply RENAME the mp3 files in the download to whatever you want to prevent them overwriting your old music)
Project Divinity: http://www.jamendo.com/en/album/2572
Project Frozen Silence: http://www.jamendo.com/en/album/3476

Pick and mix from those and place them in the Dungeon/Explore/Public folder as you see fit.

As per usual... head over to http://www.tesnexus.com/ for all your modding needs.

  • can i cancel it only for dungens? i kinda love battle music when in the arena or outside or quests. only in the dungens that sucks

  • @recoveryprankcalls No since it's a bug to get the music working like this... there is no real control over it. It's just by pure luck that it works so perfectly in removing battle music seemlessly.

  • easier way: turn music volume to 0...

  • No. Since that gets rid of ALL music.

  • damn! I did this, worked pretty well... after a week or so i came back to the sewers to do the thieves quest, was still ok, then after i moved to shivering isles and done the first dungeon, as soon as i walked out of there, i started to get the fading music thing as shown in the beginning and it is very, very annoying. Any simple fight and the music restarts, it takes the fun out of the game =/

is there a way to fix this again? i don't have the "battle" folder any more.

  • Follow the link in the video description on the right here. Read the 'Remember' stuff in Step 1.
