  • From a tactical standpoint, this fire shows once again the great importance of performing a 360 walkaround of the structure.

    A less disciplined officer/crew may have fallen victim to "moth to flame" syndrome and chose to attack the bulk of the fire prior to the company officer performing the 360, which in this case revealed a daylight basement with bedrooms, etc.

    Also, at first glance, the rescue profile of finding a viable victim appears low. But a 360 would change that profile.
