I believe you misuse the word "awakening"...what you speak of is just a rational approach to dealing with painful feelings one may have about the world. Humans are not rational beings, we are creatures just out for our survival like all others, whether that means eating food, or continuing the ideas we identify with like "love" or "fear". We just want to persist. What you're talking about is going to sleep so we can pretend we've made the world a better place and thus feel better.

Awakened Ones are opposite Religious followers. We don't believe in a leader. Each of us has our own strength & connection to the Spirit that is reached by dedicated "ascension".
We don't believe the Spirit is vengeful (like religion). The Spirit is all of us or a loving unity of every living creature in the universe.
We also don't force others to believe. If you aren't ready to Awaken then you simply aren't ready.

There are two major emotions or true emotions in our realm, fear and love. From fear stems hate, anger, et. From Love stems compassion, forgiveness, et. There is no wrong or right, good or bad, the duality was created by our minds to learn about ourself. We are here to have experiences and grow from them.
