I discuss the 2010 Census, and how we can get ASL included. I also provide a warning about possible scams and what to look for.

  • Your proposal makes logical sense that we should be seeing ASL as one of the language lists not sign language since it includes English-supported signs which are modes, not a language. In addition, we should sign a petition to ensure that ASL is published as one of the checklist under language to make our voices heard.

  • I think a petition is too late for the current census, but it definitely should be something to work on for 2020.

  • Shared this vlog to my facebook to remind to ASL users. Encourage anyone, who know ASL should notify to Census! CODAs, Interpreters, and relatives would make different than just Deaf people!

  • Good for you, Jon! We should all spread the word with each other!
