Is someone who thinks that carbon dioxide is "weightless" fit to be Prime Minister?

Can some please enlighten me. I don't follow politics (i think its all bullshit and not worth arguing and getting angry with other people over it) but now im 18 and its going to be compulsory for me to vote might as well get some education on the subject matter. Abbott's policies are completely illogical. He says he can cut carbon emissions by the same amount as the government, but it won't cost a cent. He says he can offer everyone tax cuts, but without the revenue from the mining or carbon taxes. He is offering everything to everyone but won't explain how it will be paid for. That's why many people think he is extraordinarily dishonest. By the way you'll have to enroll to vote, go to the Australian Electoral Commission website.
