@shmellyx - I'm sorry mate but that is not right. Surge is where the compressed air (boost) going into the engine isn't being consumed as quickly as it's being produced. What is happening in my clip is the compressed air is passing back through the turbo once the throttle butterfly is closed.

@lukethekanefan - Not really a case of how good more a case of the type of turbocharger. The GT series turbos must run one, they are however excellent. It's often more to do with teh engine management systems. The Escort Cosworth is a case in point, the older Webber Marreli managed car does not need a DV but the latter EECIV managed car does as it runs a MAF sensor that ends up metereing the air twice without one

@b4mb4m100 - Saddly too late mate. Car went 3 years ago and the ex went 2 years ago. Can't complain though as the new girlfriend is a huge improvement across the board. She even comes out on track days with me and doesn't throw her toys out the pram when I want to spend money on my cars.

@Oranoco keep the car mate haha i have been talked into selling cars off my missus then got rid of them and then thought what have i done i love that car . i have a honda civic type r now and she wants me to get rid of that but its not going to happen lol

I guess it's either the alternator is overcharging or you've got an underdrive pulley that's causing it. By the way, glad that you've dumped that bitch... Can't wait to see the next post of your new ride...
