DX11 VS OpenGL - Tropics Demo v1.3

A comparison between DX11 and OpenGl on exactly the same hardware.

Note: I did not use fraps to record the clips but my camera because:
1)Fraps eats my frames and therfore would have made the results unfair
2)Fraps would not display FPS for the OpenGl video and i could not therfore record one with Fraps and the other with camera.

However you can clearly see the video stutter in the OpenGl version.

Hardware Used:
CPU: Phenom II 720 x3 @ 3.8GHz
MOBO: ASUS CROSSHAIR IV FORMULA
RAM: AMD BE @ 4GB DDR3 @ 1351MHz
GPU: ASUS 5780 1GB @ 930/1230
PSU: 600W Thermaltake ToughPower
CPU & GPU WATERCOOLED.

lol opengl and directx suck. Glide 3d is the best.

@kusmabite Also for your info, Direct 3D is not based on Glide.

@BansheeFriend You mean Direct 3D. Glide was a seperate graphics API, used by 3dfx cards which is in no state to run DX 11 XD

Can't spell OpenGL: Check. Hasn't got a video card with opengl 4.1 support? Check.....

just asking... because I dont know, but my graphics card says it has both Open GL and DirecX11 on it, is this possable?
