@TrustTheG Mmmm... I'll be shooting with a bit of both from now on. Normal mode, you can see more most of the time but sometimes it looks like absolute crap. Wish my editing software could generate 1080p WMV files.

Which one best represents the reality?
Does night scene look like it did when you were there with your own eyes? Or did you see it like default?
I like night scene, and play with contrast on post if you want to see more.

I watched it again and the grainy-ness does get to me after a bit, An in-between option would be a lot better! if only... [x]

Also, if you are making a "artistic" video I think that the Night Scene mode will do much nicer, maybe raise the contrast a bit and you can make some cool videos

Well, The default seems to compramise the quality just a bit but has better light compensation. I think the night mode would be better on quality.

Well, then you should put up both versions so folks like us here :) can choose. But I guess it will take to much time.
Well, what ever you do it will be great.

@TrustTheG AE 8 Night 2. Yeah that was a problem with Night Mode on this one.
I prefer the "night scene settings" in this video, I would only use AE as a compromise if theres really no other lightsource to brighten the scene a bit.

@chrishimself84 AE 7 Night 2. See now that's what I was thinking.

I prefer night scene. Less to see, but it looks much less grainy.

@JapanielGuerrera AE 8 Night 3. True, 'twas what I was thinking.
