This is something of an idea which it might actually work.
Top Cat is an old cartoon that I used to watch all the time, & now that the studio is bringing back the old cartoon series as a CGI movie it would be a good idea to reinvent the series to make it more modern, but keep the elements that makes the cartoon great.
The thing is who can make it better, why not Guy Ritchie? He's best known for making british crime film such as "Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels", & we've seen him did "Sherlock Holmes", so what would the film look like if he did an adaptation of this?
The cartoon involves Top Cat & the gang, aswell as a local police officer, so the question is how would you modernise it? What I'm describing it as a teen version of "Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels", with lots & lots of guns & blood.
Not sure of the plot but here's what I'm thinking. The gang were trying to save their community from a violent gang group, that is terrorizing the streets, & an evil corporate, that is about to be demolished the neighbourhood. Its a story that involves Top Cat, the gang, & Officer Dibble taking on the coporates & the gang as they try to save a community they grown to love, even if it means breaking the law & kill alot of people.
This is just a plot I'm thinking, haven't thought it through, but it would be interesting to have Guy Ritchie do it. I'm also thinking of the people who would voice the characters:
Top Cat - David Tennant/Ewan McGregor
Benny the Ball - Ricky Gervais
Brain - Matt Lucas
Fancy-Fancy - Noel Clarke
Spook - Andy Serkis
Choo-Choo - Simon Pegg
Officer Dibble - Vinnie Jones
This is just a thought, but you get the idea
It would be something I would like to see Guy Ritchie do the film as a CGI gangster thriller film, although I'm not sure about the plot, it would be something.
If you have any thought, suggestion, or ideas then lets hear it
@BoxingMadLad someone suggested to add David Tennant in this because of two reasons:
1) The entire cast is literally British so this would be a British gangster version of Top Cat, as in it would be set in Britain with a teen version of a "Longstock and Two Smoking barrel" like element with a Robin Hood agenda. And because many of us seen Tennat's work it got us thinking of a new version of Top Cat with a dark comic element to it
2) Tennant has not been in much movies now, so hell with it

Your "casting" probably couldn't be any worse...David Tennant? Just what were you thinking?
