Using the contrast and extract method of extracting an image from photoshop. It improves the extraction process a little using two layers, one contrasted and extracted which should provide a better improved edge around the extracted image, which is then used as a layer link to bring only the image out to view.

The image used is for example use only and belongs to Marvel.

  • It a suggested method that might improve the use of the tool based on the image used and reduction of the feathering that sometimes occurs, alternatively one can extract using one of the color separations, all depending on the image one is working with.

The idea here is to make it easier for the program to know where the edge of the subject and the background is, and so get a better separation.

  • I've never done it that way, but I'll have to try it.

    Thanks!
