Part 4, young 3 yr.old arabian-percheron at bridge he had previously feared to cross alone, goes over leading the way then recrosses and comes back again at rider's request.
These 4 bridge episodes demonstrate a kind and natural approach to horse training, letting the horse have some say in matters by understanding his instinctive fears when they occur and being patient enough to help him overcome his fears (and not trying to force him forward by whipping him)! Young woman rider has great empathy with horses and takes a kind attitude towards them in their training, developing a trusting (and thus trustworthy) partner instead of a mere beast of burden.

@animelover462 He's so funny-- if you don't know horses you can't understand how such a big animal can get so scared of the tiniest thing!

what is a green horse ??
kimiiixx 1 year ago
Green means untrained or not well trained, just being started. A horse could be well-trained, ie. experienced, at driving for example, but still be "green under saddle" if he hadn't had much riding training. Or, he could be well trained at riding but be "green" at jumping. There is a horse show category for green jumpers.
Riders can be called green too. A phrase often heard among horse people is that "green horse-green rider" is a bad combination!
