IRV was of course repealed in Burlington after two elections. In the last one, Democrat Andy Montroll was preferred to Bob Kiss by a majority of voters, but Bob Kiss won anyway, because IRV totally ignored the fact that lots of Republican voters preferred Montroll to Kiss.
