When this game was released I was very young and couldn't finish it. I didn't know that it ended this way.

Without this game there would be no Ico or Shadow of the Colossus.

I played Heart of Darkness over and over as a kid. That feeling of a vibrant, mysterious distant world, so eerie in its design yet captivating in its form, really pressed my buttons.
I had no idea that HoD was based partly (if not in essence, in plot) off this title. Looks good.

@audiodead now that would be great ... but i bet they make it suck like the fuck up things all the time when making movies out of cool things ( Transformers,Dragonball , doom ,etc)

No that was only included in the Sega Mega CD version :)

It´s been so many years and I still don´t get it, why the main character has to die after all he struggled to survive......

He doesnt die - the "sequel" Heart of the Alien wasnt made with Eric Chachi´s involvement and is therefore not considered canon
