Yes but not all, like the escapade Kid and others: less drag= less power for the same performance,and you can install a Wankel or the Brigg&Stratton 630 4 stoke (up to 38hp) more and more use in europe: less noise, less consumption, more range...

@pgpete I thought the same of the Sonex when it first came out, but through the years its grown on me. The true beauty of this thing is its simplicity.

could it make it 50 miles? Can a larger fuel tank be installed?

@yankman91 Fuel tank size is limited by Part 103. Make it an experimental and all things are then possible.

@yankman91 No license is necessary to fly this plane, or any Part 103 compliant ultralight.
