Christianity is the representative body of those who follow the PEACEFUL teachings of Christ, but as an institution we must re-phrase such debates to state ``Are Christian beliefs representative of the religion of Peace``

Christianity as an institution needed to defend itself militarily throughout history in order to protect its beliefs (e.g. Byzantines invaded by Muslims)

If we examine Islam (its beliefs, not the institution), we discover it promotes violence and war.

@exposemyfoes Well then if u understand the idea of his second coming (which the quran also states) the end of times is the final judgement on human kind, but it that wasn't Jesus' goal then when he was on earth, his first coming was to find the lost and needy and spread the gospel to the nations and his aim has succeded, now comes a time when no--one has a reason to not know of god or the gospel. thats when brutal judgement comes referring to sinners going to hell, so repent my friend!!

@Scopps94 luke 19:27 is clear about what jesus is gonna do when he returns,read any classic christian commentary on it,matthew henry,john gills,martin luther,who were all supposedly filled with the "holy ghost",also the book of revelations is a nice commentary of luke 19:27

Wow when Wood is talking about context and how important it is, and who it was presented to etc. is such a double standard. It's a shame he doesn't use that method when looking at verses in the Qur'an and instead goes 'Wow you have a religion of violence!'

Luke 19:27 is accounting one of the stories jesus was saying about a king and his servants, dont ever do that again, your really trying to squeeze sumthing out of the bible you know you cant find LOLOL
