Passion plays are famous in Nabatiyeh, Lebanon and Iran and are a dramatic portrayal of the tragic and dramatic martyrdom of Husayn ibn Ali, the grandson of the Islamic Prophet Muhammad at the Battle of Karbala on 10 Muharram in the year 61 AH (October 2, 680 CE). Nabatiyeh is most famous for its liberal (and often-criticised by more conservative Shi'ites) use of music and live female actresses and voices.

In this part of the play, the battle plays out and Hussayn's half-brother and strongest supporter, Abol Fadl al-Abbas is killed and beheaded. The battle is played out against the backdrop of a mourner poet (radoud) chanting the pride and honour of Hussayn and his companions. The clip ends with the voice of Imam Hussayn crying "now I am broken without you O! Abol Fadl! Now I am broken and my enemy is celebrating!" before Zaynab Hussayn's sister and Abol Fadl's half-sister cries "O! Brother! What is to become of us after you!"
