Howdy, great work man! :)
I'm working on an animated film futuring alot of elements and quotes of classic movies. LOTR will ofc be a part of it, I was wondering if I could borrow this animation from you?
-
at least you got the movement of a real ring dropping
-
Good point here, you must correct the physical properties of both the ring and the plane.
Try to make a simulation at home get a ring drop it on a table with not to much friction and publish both the video and your attempt to replicate the motion with dynamics.

Anyway with time and dedication you can become a good artist, so continue working, but don't exagerate by posting things like this.
Post good works and continue doing them, by posting you'll improve cause you will be given chances to get comments, in what you need to do to get better.
Good work.

OMG if he is a genius for having made that thing, then were are getting worser anf worser with third millennium guys.

Yes but one day to model that thing with that low quality and those poor surfacing.
No context, and simply using the phisics engine.
There are for sure things worst than this but selling that model on turbosquid is like selling shit just after having made it.
Also there are at least 10 model of the one ring on turbosquid, some of decent quality at least that's a nonsense.

hey josh, you are one of a hell excellent heaven sent genius!!!!!!!!! marvelous!!!!!! more!more!more! good luck and do more of thee coooooool videos! (",)
That's a poor ring, you're just a looser.
Even the shape doesn't match, you and your brother have a lot of work to improve modeling and visualization skills.
Work before posting poor stuff.

Its was my first attempt to modeling and learning the physics engine, and applying it to something presentable. I have seen way poorly presented tests then this.

Wonderful! Really good. how long did it take to make that. and how long to learn the program?

It took me about a day to make the model and animate it. As for the program (which is called Autodesk 3ds Max 9) I'm still learning. :)

Wow! Your work is flawless. I would also be very interested in obtaining a copy of the 3D model. What are the chances? I would be very grateful.

If you click (more) on this video, you will find everything you want to know about it. Including where you can get the model.
