According to these stats 1 out of 1500 people is locked up In the Netherlands. The U.S would need 1500 x 2.000.000 = 3.000.000.000 citizens to reach this same ratio. I'm laughing and smoking my weed over here.

Netherlands: 12 thousands criminals vs. about 16 million citizens is a crime rate of: 0.075%
USA: 2 million criminals vs. about 300 million citizens is a crime rate of: 0.667%
So per million citizens; Netherlands have 750 criminals, USA 6667 criminals.
