The Tea Party Downgrade is the result of Tipton and others governing by a failed political agenda instead of a common sense balanced approach to our problems. His approach is radical, out of touch with economic reality, and at war with average Americans. The 3rd District needs new representation in 2012. Vote for change in the 3rd.
Why didn't the Republicans try to rein in spending when Bush raised the debt limit 9 times?
And what did Obama spend the money on? Stupid wars that Bush started. Saving the banks that went on a lending spree when Bush removed regulation. And saving the US auto industry and countless jobs.
So you let Obama come out looking like the good guy and most of the cuts that happened can be blamed on the intransigence of the Tea Party.
Finally, how will austerity create the jobs that you mentioned?
The House bill currently being discussed only cuts about One Trillion dollars in the next 10 years from a baseline that increases spending by about 10 trillion in that 10 years. The idea that we are going to increase the debt limit by over Two Trillion in the next 2 years, and we are only cutting this years spending by $ 7 billion. This bill is not what the Tea Party voters elected our congress to do. What the President wants is not good for the country, and we can't let him have it.
