Hey, is there a difference between the keys of harmonic minor, say if were to place A harmonic phrygian mode on fret 1, would that stll be in the key of A?
I guess what I'm asking is that do different keys of harmonic minor change shape or keep the same throughout?

can you use the harmonic minor over any kind of cord???

The harmonic minor scale can be used over several chords. Take the key of Aminor - You can play A harmonic minor over Am, E thus adding that sharped 7th tone, D minor or any of the 3 chords played in a 5 chord form (root and fifth). Obviously the theory goes beyond this but this is great starting point.
