I also had a '57 Golden Hawk in 1967 while I was in the Air Force. White with black top and black fin inserts. Three on the tree with overdrive. Bought it for $350 off the VW dealer's used car lot in Victoria, Texas. It would pass anything but a gas station. Sure wish I'd kept it...

love your hawk! after seeing it run i know why it wasn't called a sparrow instead! makes a great sleeper, looks harmless, but it looks like it's moving even when it's sitting still. did you just blow over a camera or a person holding a camera?

i was filming by myself and blew the camera over on the way by. i was going to cut it out but decided it was kinda cool.

Great car. In 1967 I had a 1957 Studebaker Golden Hawk, supercharged. Pinted metal flake blue with a black roof and black tail fins. Man, wish I still had those wheels. Are you sure this one you have isn't a 57?
