The 2012 Golf GTIs are here! A series of important updates sets this distinctive model apart from it's 2011 siblings.

Adaptive bi-xenon headlamps with LED surrounds provide excellent illumination and luxury-class styling. Distinctive new 18" alloy wheels ("Serron") retain the athletic yet classy look and feel GTI drivers have come to expect. Included with this alloy wheel package are GTI-specific dash and door trim inlays, textile floor mats with red-loop stitching, and contrasting door sill trims.

A Luxury Leather Package is available which adds Vienna Leather seating, power sunroof, and Kessy (keyless access with start and stop button).

The venerable Technology Package soldiers on in 2012 backed by a 300-watt Dynaudio digital sound package, and an RNS-510 touch-screen Navigation system which includes a 30 GB hard drive so you can keep your digital music closeby.

To get an idea of trim, etc, we recommend the online configurator. The near-equivalent car to that shown on our video is the 2-door Autobahn. I just got this car today, but this may be like a stupid question, but, where's the slot to put the key in? I know it has a start button and everything, but it would be nice to know where it is. If it has one.

@Skinsfan421 Thanks for posting. You won't find one on the steering column, but there is a concealed key tumbler on the driver door. Below the handle you'll see a square hole which you can insert your key into and gently remove the painted plastic cap. If you ever need to start your car from a roadside boost, hold the key near the Start/Stop button to disable the immobilizer.

Hmm, still no LED-Backlights? In GER you get LED-Backlights by default.

this is my favourite car made by VW and the only complaint is not enough power they should upgrade it to at least 260 to compete with the Mazda
