Truth and Lies About Search Engine Optimization

I made this video for my customers in Virginia, but it really is useful to anyone who wants to know the truth about SEO. There's an incredible amount of false hype out there about SEO and about what it can really do for you. I got sick of taking phone calls from panicked customers desperate to know how to get to the top of the search rankings for their business, so I decided to make a video that encapsulates the message I routinely give them in these calls.

The gist of my message is this. No one can guarantee that your website can move to the top of the rankings, and if they do guarantee it, they're lying. Since Google came along in 1998, search engine rankings were taken out of the hands of webmasters, and the result was searches that were 1000% better for the users doing those searches. Search isn't perfect yet, but Google has certainly made search 100 times better than it was in the 1990s.

Thanks! Exact match domains by themselves cannot do much, particularly in an environment where Google themselves say that there are 200 questions their algorithm asks about every page they spider. The claim that they will put you on page 1 all by themselves is just plain silly for any search term that has any significant degree of competition.

Backlinks are extremely overrated by people too lazy to add pages to their own websites. Also, all backlinks are not of equal value. Many are worthless.

Finally somebody who tells it like it is.you know people say if you get an exact match domain name then you can get page 1 or 2 because you have your main keyword in the domain name.also why do people bring out seo courses from clickbank if seo is nofin more than backlinks.what are you views on that
