  • hiya, marilyn! remember the good ol' days, 'way back when in the '70s, at sweet basil? i trust that you are well.

  • 3 people must have stopped the video while the vocalist was still singing haha

  • Gawd she is just sooo wonderful!! Randy and Lew are great but on this one SHE drives me crazy with her voice, her moves. Just sorry I live in Seattle and cannot see her every weekend in person!!

    Thank You Marilyn!!

  • I really hate vocalists doing this stuff. I want to hear the jazz players improvise. Not people making up really bad lyrics to justify their presence. Let's hear it for Lew and Randy though.

  • WOW!! That man can play trumpet sooooo sweetly!! I love to hear him play. Is that Randy or Lew at 3:22? Forgive me. It's kind of dark where he is standing. God bless you!!!

  • Nice music, I'd rather Chaka Khan on vocals though. Randy Brecker and Will Lee teams up again.

  • @Americanjazzlady

I agree, the only thing that made this video work for me was Will Lee and John Tropea. Chaka Khan's version was a little more filling.

  • What a player Brecker was ... and to have to follow that solo would have been pressure. Brecker's tone, range and valve technique on this are just outstanding. One of those times when nothing that comes out of the bell is short of fabulous. I think the solo blew Soloff away also ...

  • I Thought I knew Jazz! I live in Seattle, like Siberia to East Coasters. Who the Hell is Marilyn Kleinberg. She just blows me away!! Thank you for this...cannot get over her. am in love! Her voice is almost better than you know what! Thank You for this.

Conchya in Seattle...ps...this is why You Tube is so wonderful!
