This is how I make my homemade whipped shea butter! I always store my shea butter in a cool/dry place (hall closet or food pantry) to preserve freshness!

Whipped Shea Butter Ingredients:

10 oz unrefined shea butter
4 oz extra virgin coconut oil
2 oz aloe vera gel
2 tbsp jojobo oil
2 tbsp vegetable glycerine
1 tsp argan oil

  • Hello Nina, thanks for posting your tutorials. I had the same question as Phoenix0llV, how do you use your whipped shea butter? I'm not sure if it should be used as a leave in or deep conditioner.

  • @li1jones Lately I've been using mostly as a body moisturizer. When I wear braidouts I lightly moisturize my hair nightly with it, then rebraid.

  • hi, i like that u did not use melted, on fire, ..shea butter. bravo

  • where did you get that aloe vera gel from?

  • @shawnafrom35 Try Vitamin E oil, Tea Tree oil, and/or Peppermint Oil.

  • does your shea butter keep that consistency or does it solidify ?

  • Thanks for showing how to whip shea without cooking out the goodness! I am also not keen on adding microwaves to it.

How long does this keep for in a cool pantry?

How long would it keep for if you kept in a fridge? Does the consistency change if you do that?

    Thanks!

  • @Shaanaaye she said coconut oil

  • Should try this, i simply use shea butter, coconut oil jojoba oil a lil bit of honey.
