I was 9 the day Dale hit that wall. I was watching the race with my dad and we couldn't believe our eyes, THE legend, gone. My dad had taped every Daytona 500 that he can remember and when this tape was finished recording, it got hung on our honorary Dale wall. RIP #3, keep Intimidating in heaven, you are sorely missed.

this guy was a legend,...even though i didnt like him much...i wateched him hit that wall....i just knew at that very instant something happend! when i heard them say he didnt make it...i just dont remember wat i did after that..it still makes me cry when i see him on tv or something

he was to me,like elvis was to my mom,john wayne to my dad.i'm 41,and i still cry when i see that man on anything.i guess god had a bigger purpose.sad to see him gone.best of the best!!!!even king richard will say so!!!!so,1man+1car+1race=#3 4-ever.
