Good for you, Larry, proud that G-d saved you from this crazy cult. You don't need a cult, a priest, a rabbi to have a relationship with G-d.

Its so funny. J ws are knocking on people's doors all the time to get them to change their minds on their current believes. But the moment someone decides they don't want the watch tower bible and tract society's ideas anymore and defend their beliefs , now they are evil apostates!!!! When or if you can't change your mind in a group your in, because the members are told not to talk to you anymore if you BE CAREFUL YOU MIGHT BE IN A CULT !!!!!

@XJWS1 ...excuse me, I meant to say, over a few thousand years.

@XJWS1 ...second, humans can't even make a simple television series that is self-consistent let along write an entire library of books over the course of a thousand years which is self-consistent...that anyone could even come up with an interpretation that makes such a library consistent is ONE factor that indicates to me that the Bible was inspired by God.

@XJWS1 ...right...the WT's interpretation "makes" the Bible self-consistent...implying that the Bible is not self-consistent with other interpretations...I'm not sure where you're going with this, so I will address two point. First, No other interpretation could possibly "make" the Bible more self-consistent (excluding prophecy) than the WT's...if you deny this, then send me a PM w/ your own interpretation which also makes the Bible self-consistent...

@XJWS1 I have my own criticisms of the watchtower...i never could accept 1914 for example, and I subscribe to Robert King's (e-watchman) assessment of the WTBTS...that there is a demonic influence...however, in my own personal life, since I've been studying with JWs, I've experienced changes more powerful in my life than I have with any other religion and am absolutely convinced that it is the holy spirit working with me...

@technopagan724 The reason why people leave are varied but the Watchtower would love you to think that people leave because of some "imperfect" things that go on inside the JW congregations. This statement alone shows me you haven't read up on information critical of the JWs, if you have you wouldn't make that assumption that is taught to you by them. And to call it the "truth" when the "truth" is subject to change is laughable.
I understand...after reading outside literature (much of which I have read myself) why you would want to make the decision to cut your ties...but just because the organization is imperfect (and Jehovah WILL judge it when the time comes), does not mean they do not have the truth. What I don't understand, is how, after knowing the truth, you could go join an organization that murders people. The best way to meet others is to join the military...well that's the best way to kill others as well.

@technopagan724 "The best way to meet others is to join the military...well that's the best way to kill others as well." I've seen several comments on some other videos and you seem to be a somewhat educated chap, I'm surprised you would use such a hasty generalization. And he said joining the army was the best way to meet people all over the world. Your paraphrase completely changes what he meant to say.

@XJWS1 The fact is...their interpretation of the Bible (at least it doctrines...certainly not it interpretation of prophecy) seems to make the Bible more self-consistent than any other Christian religion...to me that says something, particularly if we are to believe that the Bible is the word of God and should be self-consistent...I did not intend to twist his words in any way, but I truly believe that violence on our part is not the answer to our problems, but rather a major cause of them.

Their interpretation "makes" it more self-consistent, Need I say more?

@XJWS1 sorry...just one more thought...the WT's interpretation of doctrine, for me is enough to prove to me that JWs are God's people, but the WTBTS has become an idol before Jehovah, and so it must come to an inglorious end...but just like the nation of Israel who became captive in a foreign land, Jehovah will eventually allow a chastened remnant to return after the WT's collapse.
