    I was a teenager waking up to life - good and bad - when Cat Stevens entered my consciousness through his music. Every teenage memory - good and bad - is punctuated by his music and its inevitable association. Today I cannot even sing his songs without my eyes welling up and my voice choking. So powerful an influence. So wonderful a person.

    I loved this guy from the first time I heard his voice. I am glad he did what his heart told him to do. I am glad he lived a happy life. I couldn't have wished him anything more than he mad happen for himself.
