  • Norway also has free University. Or almost free, the semester tuition is about 700 crowns which is about 120 US dollars. You pay for your own books, but other than that, it is practically free. Also, you get about 700 dollars a month from the state for dorm costs. So all you really pay is your own food and your vanity expenses. You get tailored study programmes and brilliant teachers.

I live like a king, and will still only have a fraction of a US student's dept. We pity the American fool.

  • this needs to fucking happen. its that simple. i don't give a fuck what you conservative rich ass republicans say. you don't need 20 exotic cars, and 30 mansions. do something good for humanity, think about your children's children, when christmas comes around the best part is giving someone you love a gift, not opening the gifts you get. get that through your head and the country will be better off. greedy fucks. root of all evil.

  • @thaprecepta I take it you know nothing about economics.

  • @AsifIcarebear3 Yeah we mad, but not at you.

  • @olekristor Norway has a lot of oil - don't forget that. But I agree with you what concerns the bad idea of lacking involvement of government in our lives; what's the case in america.

  • I study at a university in Denmark for free and I have a few cash to put aside from the money I receive from the government, just because I'm a student. We have the highest social mobility in the world - if you're smart or work hard you'll make it.

    umad Americans?

  • Sweden had a financial transaction tax... they found that it reduced transaction volume substantially (reducing revenue to a fraction of projections) which along with unintended side effects (e.g. companies choosing to list elsewhere) made the tax no longer attractive... and so Sweden got rid of it.

The socialist path you want to go down is well trodden, you can learn from others' mistakes or you can make the mistakes again.

  • yeah lets follow the european model because thats worked so well. fucking idiots study economics/use your brain. free markets ftw

  • Yes, please!

  • @pokekid716 Hey, college was much cheaper before the Feds took over. The worst part is that college kids think that all these grants and aid is actually there to help them. I used to think so too, but its NOT. Colleges increase their tuitions to match with the increased student aid appropriated by the Feds, resulting in no net gain for the student. And sometimes even a minus as the student is left overburdened with debt. Watch this video. It explains it really nicely

  • @shotsky94 You are smart. Extroadinarily so. Clearly, you are making a profit of at least a trillion dollars a year because you have the world just that figured out. So, you in your infinite wisdom, why don't you explain to us silly little libs how we too can make a profit as big as yours. Unless "END THE FED" meant you want us to live in anarchy, I would very much like an explanation as to why I have to pay $35,000 for a tuition, not counting books, living, etc. as a highschool graduate.

  • what is this world coming to ? monarchs in suits ... taxing the subservient
