Actually, I heard the reason for her absence in Zeta was apparently because the voice actress was unavailable during the production of Zeta, as she was traveling around the world.

@Kanuskiz yeah, tomino must have hated her, she was the only white base crew member who didnt get a speaking role in zeta, and really just gets the least screen time. even though she is one of like 3 to make an appearence in zz, the other two being bright and hayato.

Great animation and quality. BTW, Tomino didn't even want Sayla to have a short cameo? He could have shown her face at least, instead of just mentioning her name when her spaceship appears.
