Coming from a Northern Virginia native, and a Clemson fan, this is beautiful. When the Lets Go Hokies part starts, I got chills. Stay strong, Tech and God Bless.

Officer Crouse - You gave all to protect us, to serve us, to keep us from harms way. I thank you, as a member of this great Hokie Nation, for your service. I will continue to pray for your family, and I hope that one day your children will know the honorable, selfless man, the hero that you were. Though I only met you once or twice around campus, I am honored to have had the pleasure to shake you hand. Godspeed, and Godbless... May you rest in peace...

This is what we are made of. This is the Hokie Nation. In spite of this evil, we WILL overcome. Satan has again, failed to shake us. We will never forget, but we will never give in. Officer Crouse was a true hero, and his memory will live on in us.
Please pray for the family of this officer. Please pray for the family of the man responsible. Please pray for this school, this family, this nation, the Hokie Nation. We will prevail... We are VIRGINIA TECH!!!

I admit I have only been a part of this community for one semester, but in the 4 months that I have been here I have met hundreds of people and I have never heard a single one of them criticize the police or act in any way that implies hatred against those who serve and protect us. Just wanted to respectfully share my personal experience.

Nice to see so many people that normally hate and criticize the police come out and light a candle.

"It's not how these officers died that made them heroes;
it's how they lived."
