The Beauty and Struggles of the Bangsamoro of Mindanao

As in the rest of the archipelago, Mindanao deals with economic and political turmoil. But added to that, the people of Mindanao face the ongoing struggle of the Bangsamoro to fight and advocate for self-determination, sovereignty, and rights to ancestral lands.
As the Philippines has been declared the 2nd Front in Bush Jr.'s so called "War on Terror", Mindanao and its people face continuous hardships, exploitation, human rights violations, and oppression perpetrated by the U.S. backed-Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo Regime.

To combat this Christianized Filipinos, Indigenous Katutubu, and Islamized Moros have banded together to challenge and question the practices of the Government Republic of the Philippines. Militantly and morally the masses mobilize to change the oppressive conditions of the motherland.

Suara Bangsamoro (Voice of the Moro People) is a party list representing the Moro innhabitants of the country. The Suara Bangsamoro Party aims to uphold the Moro people's right to self-determination, promote a politics of self-reliance, bring about a "progressive and healthy interaction" between the Moro and Filipino peoples, forge a just peace not only in Mindanao but throughout the Philippines, embark on a policy of "genuine industrialization and land reform" as the path toward eradicating the Moro people's poverty; create international solidarity against foreign aggression, domination, exploitation, and oppression; and protect the Moro people and their homeland. One of the main reasons for the founding of the political party is the desire for Moro people to have legitimate representation in the country's political life. The group is headed by National Deputy Secretary-General Zaynab Ampatuan, who is also one of the party list's nominees for this year's elections.
