Starting Fiat 126P/ Maluch below freezing.

1982 Fiat 126p with electronic ignition module.
This car has the standard mechanical fuel pump which is why it needs a lot of cranking to prime the carb when it has been standing for a couple of weeks.

With an electric pump it might have needed only 3 cranks for a start like this.

Il ya deux «défauts» de ces Fiat par le design. L'un est le système d'allumage très peu fiables, et l'autre est le carburateur qui devient chaud et pousse les vapeurs de carburant de retour dans les lignes de carburant quand il est chaud. J'ai déjà remplacé l'allumage avec un allumage électronique et EUR60 il fonctionne très bien. La prochaine étape est une pompe basse pression de carburant à l'état solide avec des relais de sécurité.Cela devrait prendre soin de la deuxième question

j'ai une vieille fiat, à froid elle démarre bien. Mais quand elle chaude elle ne veut plus démarrer. Si par exemple je m'arrête pour faire une course je dois attendre un moment pour démarrer. Si au bout de 2 essais elle démarre pas, j'insiste pas. De toutes manières elle ne démarrera pas. Une fois j'ai insisté et elle n'a plus voulu démarrer. Pourtant tout a été vérifié mais rien à faire

Hi yann, thanks for your comments. I'll post some more in the future. I've taken off the head at the moment to replace all the leaking gaskets & seals on the pushrods. I will make some more videos of the re-assembly etc.

I like very much this video; she is amazing !

Generally speaking I love the Fiat 126 cranking sound with cold engine but here I like specificaly the slow and progressive waking up of the engine and the quiet revving.

It reminds me my mother when I was young (with a Fiat 500).

Could you piblish other videos with this car ?
