  • Stock photos can be annoying.

Cenk (or anyone on TYT), this should interest you:

There's a swedish yoghurt called basically "Turkish Yoghurt" (google it), which featured a picture of an older gent in an old-school outfit and a moostash needing policing :)

Anyway, the dude found out about it and he sued the producer of the stuff. His reason? He's greek. Got 160 000€ for it.

Gotta be careful to give your likeness to stock footage/photos, and gotta be careful using them.

  • This may be news to TYT, but models have almost NO rights while the photographer can use a photo for pretty much anything they want aside from child pornography. Advertising is and has always been about lying, this lie just happens to be particularly embarrassing for the firefighter. Whore your face, profit, and stfu, or have the good sense not to sign such a broad reaching contract.

  • I have to take a shit

  • @DameunPutazo Thanks again for the great information.

  • @st4ticblu3 You have a point, but what makes something morally 'good' is not the just the intention, it's also how you do it. This is a Machiavellian thinking that doesn't work under the scrutiny of the public. Those lawyers should know better, that there are nuances in the socio-political area. Their ad came as a deceptive ploy to sell their firm, and they should fix it, which they did. If this can't be made illegal, @ least people must be aware of the moral and legal issues.

  • @toppless09 The last part of his quote just rubbed me the wrong way.

  • if you sell your photo you cant be shocked when someone uses those photos how they want...he did get paid for using his image right?

They own that photo and he sold the right to it...that why if you have an issue than you need to outlaw what you dont want them to use them on.

  • Why is Cenk always in a dark room? Why can't he be in the main room with the TYT logos behind him???

  • That firefighter is HAWT

  • @LoveDayandAge No, he would be cashing in on him NOT being part of 9/11 and being falsely represented.

  • I agree. But if he sued and got "a chunk of money", he'd really be cashing in on 9/11.

  • @Usersname1983 ah. makes sense that he'd be pissed if that's the case.
