A short film from Wild Derrynane, about recently fledged Shearwater chicks coming ashore, being put back into the water for their own safety, to enable them migrate back to the South Atlantic Ocean off Patagonia

  • Venny, that is a really good short film on Shearwaters. The natural instinct they have to go to the water is incredible. A built in code that most of us take for granted or no little about this beautiful sea bird. I stayed on The Blasket Island two years ago for a weekend filming Manx Shearwaters. Their eerie calls at night while camped close to the graveyard was so exciting and fascinating. Well done!
