@XXweedboyXX Maybe "real" fans would understand how a band would crave experimenting and evolution in their sound. And if you gave the album a good listen I'm sure you would find a lot to love. There are some great tracks on Intimacy.

@XXweedboyXX as an 'old fan' of bloc party i wouldnt agree at all, intimacy was brilliant, and as bloc have always been about progression i think most fans would agree. Havent heard many 'old' radiohead fans call in rainbows horrible which is a similar sort of thing.... personally a weekend in the city is my least favourite albums with silent alarm as my favourite

I dont think intamacy is considered "alternative" at all. Its more electronic. Silent alarm is what i consider alternative.

meh all 3 are good. silent alarm is there most energetic, intimacy perhaps there most alternative and then witc some where inbetween. all good and forever changing:)

Intimacy wasn't as good as A Weekend In the City, which in my opinion is their best album, but Intimacy wasn't all that bad, it has given us a gem in the form of Ion Square
