We were minding our own business heading east on I-70 in Kansas when a State Trooper heading west flipped around and pulled us over to give us a roadside inspection. I thought this might be an opportunity to shoot kind of a training video for anyone who might be interested in what kind of standards commercial trucks must keep in order to operate safely on american highways.

  • Proper Pre-trip should of told you that tail light was out. don't you do 2 a day running team?

  • @bucktrucking Yes Sir. Every Day. Says so on our federal log book.

  • WOW Huge inspection..

  • @aid2003 Actually it was just a level two. If it was a level one inspection he would have had a creeper and been under the truck looking at brakes and stuff.

  • thanks for putting this up. When it happens to me I hope it goes as smooth.

  • @jackzon It's really no big deal. You will know more about how to keep your log than they do.

  • @bangalorebobbel Not so if a cop in europe is good enough he might let you fix it.If its the abs its a park up & you cant fix it.In the UK you cant fix it if you are the driver regardless of qualifications

  • This cop was pretty good about it. I know a big thing is not being a smart ass with the cop. I just wish the company was more liabal in company truck situations. An awfull lot of companies are so slow about fixing stuff and a lot of drivers need there jobs bad so there forced to drive unsafe trucks. Of course they can refuse to drive it but then the company fires them for something stupid to "get even."

  • she asked about the potential CSA infractions & allhe did was dance around it. All he seemed to say was that he "could've" given a ticket. he really didn't appear to know about what the inspection & the "found" violations could do to her score since she was the driver on duty. did you guys ever get an answer as to what the "warnings" point value on CSA were?

  • @SuperHorse666 lol your an idiot... he just did a normal inspection... and police do not need probable cause to stop Commercial Vehicles... trucks are more dangerous then you probably even realize.. your just on here to bash cops when actually many of these inspections pull dangerous trucks off the road that otherwise may cause accidents later on down the road. While this truck was not one of them plenty out there are and without stopping any trucks they will never find them.

  • @SuperHorse666 Thanks man.
