this song is what crowned anette rockchick of the year !!!! when i saw the rehersal on youtube a few days before seeing them live i was drewling till my laptop crashed XD. i love her version of this song WAY WAY WAY more. in fact, when i listen to romantice on my mp3 now, i dont even hear whatsherface sing, i hear anette's version the whole time:P. anette powned her big time by singing this song live:D

one of the lines of the song might be pointing to tarja before she left. as you know tuomas is basically the creator of nightwish and you could possibly say he created tarja. one of the lines in romanticide is"See me ruined by my own creations"

Romanticide was always one of those songs that I thought wasn't very fitting for Tarja's vocal style. However, Anette breathes new life into this song, and boy does it ROCK!

I heard them play this when I was at the Houston, Texas show. It was one of my favorite Nightwish songs in the past, and now it's moved up the list. I agree with you, it's a scary thought at first. She pulled it off magnificently though.
