From his "The Mozart Tenor" album, in 1993.

One of the most technically perfect renditions there are.

  • The phrasing is so great here. But the version on his album is even better. But its nice to have this on youtube.

  • Eh...he's got a better recording of this I think...

  • Where? O.O

  • no tenor has ever gone close to this outstanding rendition.

  • The coloratura here is the most perfect I've ever heard on this aria.

  • Le seul... l'unique... ROCKY !!!

    Increible y unico Blake

  • instead of allegro maestoso, he sounds like allegro grazioso..

  • this is ok, but I think the Mexican tenors (Vargas and Araiza) own this aria

  • Grandioso! non solo vocalmente, ma proprio interpretativamente.

  • We need to cat scan Blake's skull. There is a theory in physical anthropology that Neanderthals could not articulate speech as well as modern humans because their vocal cords were not enervated as fully as are moderns. The evidence for this is the size of a fossa in the base of the skull through which the nerves that feed the the larynx pass. My theory is that Blake and Sam Ramey have particularly large nerve channels and that these account for their unusual vocal flexibility.

  • RB hits another home run!

    GRANDISSIMO.

Croft in confronto è un principiante

  • I usually don´t like this singer but I listen his Mozart and is terrific! Changes a lot, is very very good. IN Rossini is different and where I do not like him too much. His Un aura amorosa and Il mio tesoro are wonderful---this aria too.
