Promotional video on the Nokia mobile 7110.
I had one of these and it was the hottest mobile of its time; biggest screen, first model with wap... but now it looks so outdated and useless.

Bit late reaction.. but when you spray 2 tiny drops of siliconespray at both the aluminum sliding strips at the side of your phone, the slide wil shoot down like crazy again. Did that with the 7110 I just purchased through ebay. :-) Great fun..

Huge display...? Bit laughable in this day but yeah, these were the shit not all that long ago.. never owned one but one my cousins in the UK still has one of these and is perfectly happy... and being the nerd he is, he managed to fit a spring to snap open the cover a la Matrix...

@s2stuges In its time it was biggest Nokia screen; I think it had 5 lines... others (like 3210) only had 3. The whole thing is of course laughable today, like the WAP browser... but that's progressing technology for you. Also, the Matrix-featured phone was actually a 8110; the 7110 came after it (according to Wikipedia). The spring on mine eventually broke.

I still have mine, its a design classic. I used to feel like neo ever time I clicked the slider down to take a call. it is a cool phone and always will be.

Mine died years ago, but it worked very well when it was alive. It was a great phone for its time - though I never got into that WAP stuff.
