  • That's called recoil, and that's a problem with every gun.

    Especially automatics.

It's not really a problem. But EVERY gun has at least a little recoil.

  • Eat ur wheaties and you'll be able to hold it down. dont be such a pussy.

  • @V8Camaro22 yes, or you could not kill ur enemy.

  • Wish I owned a fully auto Tommy. But they are expensive and my local sheriff does not sign off on machine guns. Well I have the Tommy semi auto pistol with 50 round drum that was reintroduced a couple of years ago. It is nice and you can bump fire it to get the bullets out fast. There is a guy that posted a good video on Youtube of bump firing a Tommy. You can fire as fast as fully auto if you practice.

  • @ringfactory That Russians won war,USA won on pacific,in Europe more UK do,btw PPSH 41 is better

  • I've shot the MP-40 and the Thompson many, many times over the years, and natually the MP-40 is a more stable weapon system, however, if the shooter knows how to handle a Thompson, its easily as accurate as the MP-40, only it has a much higher fire rate, and has the .45 round.

  • @stuka 1939 like i said look up thompsons shooting on you tube you will find that trained people can shoot a thompson just as good/controlled as a mp40 and it will have better stoppage power and rpm and just be as acurate as the mp40

  • it is not hard and im 13

  • Sure you can shoot full auto....if want to send rounds into the tree tops. Have you shot the tommy? Well, when you do come back and make another post, Yes, it was a cool gun and it has a rich history...but it's not the GREATEST gun ever. IT's a great gun, but i think we are dealing with bias and not knowledge, experience and military application. When you have shot all of the submachien guns from WW2, which I have (including the rare Riesling) , then make a comparison.

  • The compensator only works so well. Just watch the video on this very page. The guy is shooting all over the place after 4 rounds. Yes, the Thompson had advantages, but it was not the best submachine gun. There is not one modern submachine gun that is made to be heavy and long. That defeats the desing of a submachine gun. There are war accounts of American GIs tossing there Tommies for MP40s and Germans tossing their MP40s for Russian PPSh 41s. Open damn history book and read!

  • This will be my last post because I'm bored of responding to retards who get their education from video games and Steven Speilberg movies and not books and actual experience. As a gun collector and reenector I have shot nearly every gun from WW1 and WW2. If you think the Americans won the war because of the Thompson you need to get your ass back in school and off your XBOX 360. The Russian PPSh 41 filled the role of the sub machine gun the best. It was robust, high round capacity and small.

  • yeah,,,its cheap now
