Yes, you have probably learned those things since then.

  • @askjiir Dude my comment was like over half a year ago, I don't care.

  • @askjiir There is a difference between bravery and brainwashed stupidity, and how you fight doesent really matter if you don't have any water to stay alive

  • @shackvan

If they had fought bravely, they would have fought to the last man and to the last bullet like the japanese did in every campaign from tarrawa to okinawa. With that kind of dedication they would have kept Signapore.

  • @007Influence

..Ugh... Okay. They fought against the japanese in Burma, India and the Pacific. Got it!? And no, the british had no bases in Hawaii, that area was in american possesion. Nice to learn a little history here and there.

  • which documentary were you watching ? it pours blame on all those in the British high command who allowed this to happen through incompetence poor planning and underestimating of the Japanese. There is nothing factually incorrect about anything in this program aside from the fate of the British General so i fail to see how this is a "scandal". British and Empire troops fought bravely in this battle and the japanese will tell you that to, they were simply let down by many things.

  • @deutscher52 So far just history about the UK, just like most self absolved countries do.

  • @lucius1976 I'm not going on about history lessons? I'm unsure because I was never taught this side of the war. We managed to send ships back and forth to Australia, why not Hawaii? And British ships in the pacific held off Japanese naval fleets in certain areas, so their navy could not have been that overshadowing over British.

You really should take some basic geography lessons before you go on with some history lessons. Of course the British fought the Japanese, but after Pearl Harbour british naval forces in the Pacific were minuscule to the might of the Japanese fleet and the best they could muster was a task force of one Battleship and one Battlecruiser they send to Singapore. They certainly could not do anything about Hawaii thousends of kilometeres away from Singapore. Even that went badly.
