History Channel 'Battleplan' - Flank Attack

Battleplan is a military television documentary series examing various military strategies used in modern warfare since World War I. It is shown on the Military Channel in the U.S. and UKTV History. Each episode looks at particular military strategy -- or "battleplan" -- through two well-known historical examples, gauging them against the ideal requirements necessary to successfully conduct that strategy. All the episodes use examples from modern warfare, dating from the First World War (1914--18) up to the recent Iraq War (2003). Lloyd Clark (Royal Military Academy Sandhurst) and Bruce Gudmundsson (US Army War College) analyze the information and talk about it on the show.

Isn't that amazing how a smaller yet quality force can completely dominate a larger poorly trained force. Not to mention having complete control of the Air and Sea. This is a great video Thanks for posting it!

One of many Battleplans, I love the video and watched the whe series and been hooked into the military since 7 yrs old . It's not about the guns, armour or anything like that ( though I read about different weapons & stuff) but it is the combat tactics & strategies used by many commanders since the birth of war till the current war on terrorism & afghan war

You know the decision to back out of the gulf sounds a little strange. Considering that they were completely dominating that army. Seems like nothing could have stopped them from winning. I'm sure there are issues not mentioned here. Because it makes no sense to purposefully stop in the middle of a plan that has a very high chance of success.
