The Global 1 helicopter flies over Slave Lake after a wildfire did significant damage to the town on May 15th. The burned out town hall can be seen, along with the remains of many homes. The Slave Lake fires destroyed a third of the town, located north of Edmonton, the capital of Alberta. For full coverage of the Aleberta widlfires go to http://globaltvedmonton.com/

  • @SPS148669 more like "gosh damn" world

  • @Littlechickwithakiss I'm from Slave Lake as well and people didn't know if their homes were still standing until they issued a lot by lot map showing which houses burned. That wasn't done until after a week from the evacuation.

  • Looks like a tornado rolled by at the beggining of the video

  • Sanpscap I am for slave lake a by the morning you know if your house was there or not

  • the night of the fire i read tweets on twitter since no news seemed to pay attention to it. This was my worst fear really.

Nice to see the donations poured in and the help to those who needed it.

  • @SPS148669 seriously? haarp? all they are doing is disturbing the ionisphere to discover how it reacts to storms and radiation!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @SPS148669 really???

  • You guys should get some high res photos from above the town so people can see if their homes are gone.
