Sunny Cove is an infrequently-dived site at the end of Jagger Walk - the catwalk that runs along perpendicular to Fish Hoek beach. An old book I have claims that sea horses can be found there, so I've wanted to dive it for ages.
Clare insisted we wait until winter, though, because it was the site of a fatal great white shark attack in 2004 (on a swimmer) and it's said that the sharks use the deep channel running along towards the beach as their route in and out of Fish Hoek bay.
We didn't see any sharks (in winter they're all out at Seal Island), but we did see their channel and a whole lot of underwater beauty. The entry and exit are a bit strenuous (and hard on kit) but very manageable if you take it slowly.
