it's funny Whop Cocoyea has a similar intro in regards to melody and progression. None the less, this song and cocoyea are both classics.

Don't feel too bad. We still got Smooth, Boogsie, Beverly, Robbie.
Earl Rodney is out there somewhere. Hopefully one day we may hearhim in action again.
